Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf (via Cycling Central) has breaking news that…
Five former team-mates of Lance Armstrong; Levi Leipheimer, Dave Zabriskie, Christian Vande Velde, George Hincapie and Jonathan Vaughters, have made a deal with USADA to admit they doped in exchange for damning testimony against the seven-time Tour winner, according to a report by Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

Thanks to Toby Forage for the heads up on Twitter.
Thanks to John Galloway for the original link.
Wow, this is huge. I will keep an eye on other sites and update as I see more news.
I am not sure how reputable this Dutch newspaper is. My skills in Dutch at right up there with my Klingon.
This really shouldn’t be a surprise given the withdrawal of some of the above from the Olympic selection.

Vaughters just Tweeted…
I think I’m gonna get a lot more followers on twitter today. Just a hunch…

As of now 4:28PM AEST it stands at…
So the USADA proves it will ignore anyone not named Lance, and give anyone not named Lance anything they want in exchange for saying bad things about Lance. I can’t see how anyone would trust the USADA or anyone they payoff.
I have an idea on how to combat crime: Tell all criminals they get immunity as long as they testify against some random guy we don’t like. Look, all these criminals have agreed to testify — that PROVES this random guy must be guilty. Crime will surely go away now.
So surreal.
He is hardly a random guy though Mick.
I thought immunity was how things worked over there?
Here’s how it works over here: The only people you can be sure never face prosecution are the guilty ones. 🙂
Find out who gave the newspaper this “news”. Johan writes for them. Think of USADA response….
This is possibly an intimidation tactic from the Armstrong camp. I trust USADA much more than Armstrong.
It’s time to discredit the guys that “created” this – not the riders forced to comply. It’s the director, star and dr’s that need to be removed from the sport – permanently. Not the riders forced to comply. Go USADA!
