Friday Video

When ever you see Red Bull signage at an event, you can be pretty sure that it is going to be something full on. This video is just that. Colombian downhill mountain biker Marcelo Gutierrez is well known in the downhill seen for some of his amazing videos. This one is going to take some beating. It has been reported that his testicles have their own gravitational pull, such is their size!

It took Gutierrez just 4 minutes and 27 seconds to complete the Red Bull Downhill time trial, which saw him descend 2000 metres, taking in over 1000 steps in the process. Sadly, he was beaten to victory by Slovak mountain biker Filip Polc, who crossed the line a second quicker.

129 Days to Go.

Like all the other challenges I have done, time is marching on a little to quickly for my liking. The Tour de Kids Plus bike ride is only 129 days off. Training is coming along nicely at the moment. I am following my plan of slowly building up the kilometres traveled each month.

Sadly, my mate Jason has had to pull out, so I wont have one of my best mates with me on the ride. He better buy me a beer when I lob into Geelong at the end of the ride. Looking forward to getting to Adelaide in late September to meet up with a few mates just before the ride and maybe do a few rides with them in Adelaide. Norton Summit isn’t out of the question, but a lot will depend on how my fitness is at the time.

I have made a new shortened URL for all Tour de Kids Plus posts on the forums to help people spread the word. Just use http://norbs.tk/tdk to find all posts related to the ride.

Heres hoping this charity ride goes as well as the last one.

Grab some spag-bol and garlic bread, this is spectacular!

They raced up there last night, and is one of the reasons the real cycling fans are all struggling at work today.

I cant believe Puccio was chatting to the camera going up a 15% incline.

Results and and excellent photos from last night at cyclingtips.com.au

Cycling and Anagrams.

There has been some discussion on Twitter about giving Peter Sagan a Euro cool nickname. I have drawn a blank, so I thought I would use an old favourite of mine and drop Peter Sagan into an anagram generator.

Well it certainly spat out some weird stuff, with my favourite being Gas Net Reap. Seeing as how he rides for Liquigas, I thought it was appropriate.

I thought while I was at it, I would try a few more. Here are the results.

This, if it is correct, is a bloody joke.

Talk about a money grab. Lets hope this isn’t the thin edge of the wedge.
